Hello all! Meet Roger my alien betta! I’ve had him for about a week and ever since I got him he’s liked to just kinda chill like this? His front fins will still be moving. Originally I thought swim bladder issues but he still explores his tank and seems to swim fine. He loves to eat micro pellets and brine shrimp and acts fine otherwise. Is there something wrong with him or is he just an odd guy?
Tank size is five gallons, heated, and planted with real plants and has a filter. Water parameters were normal last time I checked them. Gravel is fluval stratum.

Unsure of how to edit post but some further information: no tank mates, water changes about once a week and I feed him once a day.
Seconding to get a floating resting spot up near the surface. He wants to be lazy but doesnt have a spot to lay down so he’s being weird <3
I’ve never had an alien who wasnt weird in some really intense way – at this point I’m willing to believe all aliens have some neurosis lmao.
