Built my first fly rod

I’ve only ever fished for catfish and bass but decided to jump into the world of fly fishing. Bought a T&T Exocett ss and a 7wt Lamson. Never fly fished before so really don’t know what to expect. None the less, I’m going to dedicate myself to learn and be a student to this sport and appreciate the craft.

Any tips or advice for a begginner fly fisher? I promise I’ll read each comment.
