I’m not sure if this is normal but his top fins look a little ragged compared to the rest.
He is a dumbo half moon betta mix. I got him about 2 weeks ago (the tank was cycled and tested before i got him).
Water parameters are normal according to the chart it came with and I’ve been doing water chances weekly. I have had Indian almond leaves in the tank for the benefits of the tannins.
Please let me know if this the start of fin rot

The video came out blurry so here is another photo
Looks like it could just be normal fin growth. The ends tend to be lighter and thinner when growing. I assume you got him from a pet store so he probably wasn’t in the best loving conditions. Give him a month and see if his fins start to look more full. It will take time, I have hope that the splitting will lessen. Almond leaves are good. He looks ok, just keep an eye on him. Just make sure the ends of his fins don’t become black and shriveled
