I just got this new betta, elephant ear male , he’s out of this container now and into a 5 gallon tank but still all advice is very much appreciated. Plus give some fish names !!

As far as advice goes, be careful about tank decorations! His fins are big and beautiful, so be careful when choosing tank decorations that their edges aren’t hard and sharp, since that could cut or tear his fins.Â

Is your tank cycled? If not look up the nitrogen cycle. Basically for a few weeks the tank needs extra care then it slows down.
Get plants! They love them! Make sure you have a filter and a heater. An air stone is another way to give them things to play with.
Probably the best you could do for the little guy. Filtration might be a little much for 1 fish but this is what you ultimately want to strive for.
