I just bought a 5WT Scott Centric rod which is upgrading from my Loomis IMX pro. I currently have a Sage Spectrum C 5/6 reel and it just does not do the rod any justice. The rod is so remarkably light that the spectrum reel just does balance well with it in my opinion. Would love to hear some recommendations on reels.

Ross makes some nice reels. I also like the Orvis Mirage. All are made in the US.
Abel, Ross, orvis, lamson. They’re all good just pick one that looks cool to you
Lamson Litespeed F or Bauer RX 2 would help cut down weight. Are you running a heavy line?
I love my Danielsson DryFly for it’s lightness, but I also love the sound of the Ross Colorado–neither has a drag. Both are light as hell and well made. Ross reels are made in Montrose, Colorado…just like your rod, which is dope as hell.
Throwing Galvan out there if it hasn’t been mentioned yet (Also US made). I also like the Ross evolution if you’re going for light weight. Hardy makes some nice super light weights reels as well but those aren’t US made. I’m a product tester for a company called Conflux… carbon fiber reels that are very light.
