Hey I have a question about fishing back bays for stripers. I marked a point on the map of a spot I’m curious about. I’m new to saltwater fishing and I keep hearing people say stripers are in the back bay. So would this be a good spot? Or am I way off? Located in ocean county NJ. The spot is very shallow but one person from around there says they catch stripers right there from the beach. I’ve been fishing the ocean beach regularly with no luck and I’m going to fish this spot regardless, just figured I’d post here and see what people have to say. Thanks!

Stripers are few and far between until late November
There’s some that live in the bays all year as they’ve grown accustomed to the food and don’t leave
I’d say the surf is better than the bays
Don’t know where your spot is but I fish the bay in Ocean County until the fall migration makes its way down here. I have caught many in the bay.
Is it a good spot? I dunno. But there’s only one way to find out.
