water params are good (pic in comments) he seems to love to do this all day, when i get his attention he acts totally normal and swims up just fine, eating normally just wanna make sure he’s fine ?
Backstory — this is Pablo, we’ve had him for a few months now and has glowed up TREMENDOUSLY! he’s the one that jump started our aquarium tank obsessions, he’s super sweet and always attentive to me. we’re aware he’s bound to go blind at one point so we are trying to train him to know his feeding spot.

what size tank is he in… and what all is in the tank with him
He’s hungry and recognizes you as the person that feeds him. If you leave him alone I bet you he stops doing that. Bettas are like quantum particles, they act differently when observed.
Does he act like this if you aren’t in the room? Like leave the phone camera and leave for 5 mins? If you move to another side of a tank does he stay in that spot or does he move to where you moved?
It might be the minnows. Maybe he just wants more hidey holes like that (maybe cause of minnows, maybe its just his personality).
He is a very beautiful betta nevertheless. I wish you the best of luck.
