Why do I keep getting knots on my first rod guild? It’s not like I’m throwing it particularly hard and I always make sure the line is tight before I cast. Why? WTF? I also get knots on the line too for not damn reason even when it’s not windy. I follow the weight guild for the rod as well, Rod is rated for 3/8 to 1-1/2oz.

Is your reel overspooled? Too much line and it will fly off and make windknots real easy.
