This is our first betta fish, my son is obsessed with fish and has begged for a betta. We have him in a 5 gallon with just one nerite snail as a tank mate. We tried shrimp for a couple hours and turns out Popsicle is absolutely not interested in friends that move quickly 🤣
He loves plants + seems very active despite his fins slowing him down a bit on turns. I wanted to ask specifically about the tips of his fins. When we got him (on a whim at Petco just browsing for tank decor–I already know Petco is atrocious but my son fell in love at first sight) when we got him his fins looked almost raggedy but now you can see what I assume is new growth/healing? It's softer looking but I want him to have the best life.
He currently is fed flakes + occasionally a bloodworm treat but is there anything specific we can do to ensure he's healthy and as vibrant as possible? We have had him since August and just love him so much.
Never thought I could feel so attached to a fish but he has so much more personality than any other species we have owned!
