Hey guys! So I noticed my betta’s fins got lighter compared to before and I’m not sure what’s causing it. He’s in a 3-gallon tank with plants, no filter or heater, but I do water changes every 2 days. He’s got 2 apple snails as tank mates and I also added Indian almond leaves recently.
I’ve had him for about 2 months now, and he’s been eating and swimming fine, but the color change on his fins kinda worries me. Could it be stress, water quality, or maybe temperature?
Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated

Get a filter and heater for him 🤙🏻 might help with his colours. Food matters as well, a good diet helps with maintaining or improving colouration
Is there a reason you don’t have a filter or heater? I definitely recommend both. I like to use sponge filters with my Bettas for gentle flow.
Do you have a water test kit? Could you share parameters?
If you could get a bigger tank, that would be ideal. 5 gallons is the minimum recommended size for Bettas typically. I don’t think 3 gallons is the end of the world, but with the two large apple snails, that could really impact your water quality.
