So I have a Betta mahachaiensis (his name's Xeno), and he's my favorite thing in the damn world, when I'm home I often sit by the tank and have him follow my finger, eat off of it, ect to keep him entertained, but when I come back he's usually just resting on the gravel and swimming by the glass and I feel like it's him being bored, what could I do to keep him entertained once I'm gone for most of the day? (Tank pic for reference this was around a month ago so there's more plants now)

I read that rearranging a tiny bit of object in his tank will stimulate them because it’s a whole “re-investigation” of his territory. Like, just moving a tiny piece of decor or something like that will get him occupied for awhile.
give him some pet snails?
Mine has 5 white cloud minnows, I was worried adding them at first but he cant even get close to them with his big ass tail
