Took a friends betta and had no choice but to do a fish in cycle … it’s been 2 days, and I was only able to test today as I had to get my kit from my other house. I did a 30%ish water change yesterday. Been only feeding 1-2 pieces of food a day. There are plants and snails also. I tried to add in a couple things from my established betta tank to help.
I’m trying so hard but feel like I’m bound to f*** up 😣

Edit — friends tank got a leak and they “didn’t feel like dealing with it anymore” so they were going to flush the poor guy. I had a spare empty tank so offered to give them it or take him and they said take him 🤷🏻♀️
I would do a 50% just to be safe? I’m def not an expert on fish in cycling tho
