I just got this spinning rod rated ML, didn’t realize the guides were this small. Is this going to be a problem tying on a leader? Was planning on using 10# braid to 6# fluoro with an Alberto knot. This pic from the Japanese manual is what made me really start to think about it, looks like they recommend not running the leader through the guides at all…

I have this rod. I have no issues running 10 or 15# braid to 6 or 8 lb flouro leader. I use the Yucatan knot.
I’ve got that rod ordered. It was supposed to arrive today but stupid Amazon is delaying a lot of shipments right now. I’m excited for it whenever it finally arrives!
Could just run a 1 ft leader
I have the exact same rod. No issues with a double uni, 15lb braid and 8lb leader
I run a 6ft leader on that rod and have no issues. I use an Alberto knot.
