St. Croix is having a sale on Amazon for a 7’10 heavy mod fast rod. It’s a decent deal and I’m thinking of buying it but I’m wondering what lures would pair best with it? I’m guessing it would be good for deep crank baits and swim baits but would like some advice on what else it would handle good.

Most of my swim baits are over that rods range and most of my cranks are either under it or just above the minimum. Maybe a decent frog rod or a bottom fishing setup.
Throwing giant ass swimbaits for creatures that a little bit of shock absorption would help for.
