Hey yall this is my beta fish tank. I’m very new to this and working my way up so please be nice 😊. I finally decided to decorate my tank. I think she’s liking the upgrade so far. My concerns are the tank needs to be bigger or the castle decor is too big? Lmk if I need to make any adjustments. Just spent $60 on all this new stuff so gotta wait to buy anything else. She can swim fine around it fine tho.

  1. You should get bigger tank-30l (8gal) minimum and they need a heater and filter, tank cycled and lived plants! (This is some advice my first one died and now I learnt what to do,any problems or questions you can message me im happy to help!)

  2. Oh… so. Plastic decor and colored gravel is bad for fish health.
Please reconsider have natural sand/gravel, real plants and no plastic.
You need heater, filter (hard to say if there’s any?), water test kit and as bare minimum 30liter/6 gallon tank, but the more the better.
Or betta eventually will get sick unfortunately:(

  3. Black-Moon-Rabbit on

You need a bigger tank (5 gallon minimum) a heater, and a filter. Get rid of the plastic decor as it can cut the betta’s fins and just looks bad. I prefer a more natural look. Also get rid of the unnatural colored gravel and get fluval stratum for your live plants. Get more live plants if you can.

You also need to make sure you get a tank with a light that is good enough to support live plants. I recommend looking into fluval tanks.

Also if you haven’t already do research on the nitrogen cycle and learn how to do a fish-in cycle.

  4. When you decide to get a bigger tank, PetSmart has 5 gallons for like $15 and 10 gallons for $20. Go with the 10g.
