Still new to this and just 2 weeks, u guys think its too much light ?
I keep the light on for 12 hrs(timer)
There are no real plants and its a 5 gal tank with filter and added heater.
Should I get some real plants?
Fins look ok ?
Does he seem fine ?
Feeding him twice a day – 3 pellets in the morning and 1-2 in the afternoon..
Water parameters look good and I have changed 25-30% water each week ..

12 hours of light, I think is a lot but many people say it’s fine. (I do 8 hours).
Also, yes you should get real plants. I’d probably get some frogbit and some shady plants like a Java fern or something similar. And maybe get some lava rocks or driftwood. He seems happy to me.
