I have used a hand auger for years. I found this 2 stroke Japanese auger on marketplace for $20. It wouldn’t run properly the owner said. I dumped the stale gas, cleaned the carb, cleared the plugged jet and put the float valve back in properly because it was not installed the right way.
3 pulls and she’s it’s itching for ice!!
Next job is to made an adapter so it works with my hand auger flutes.

if it has a plastic membrane on the carb for metering, switch it. they get stiff and makes a need to continously adjust he air carb because not enough fuel.
