Betta Fish: Color Changing Betta

I got this little dude (pretty boy/Orion) back on June. He's swimming just fine and eating normally. However over the last few months I've noticed his colors darkening and changing. Some times he even looks blue-ish at times. The photos are in order from when I got him to now. (Plus a photo bomb at the end 🤭)

Is this normal? He's in a 10 gallon tank, live plants, plenty of hiding spots. I've heard of marbling and such but I've never encountered it with past Bettas. Little dude looks like he's going moldy 😭 thanks!
