This is my veil tail Kai. I just recently found out about the marble gene and I’m wondering if he has it? When I first got him he was just orangey-purple and dull. Now he has a full black head and black patches and shimmers of blue throughout his body.

Maybe, maybe not. He is muticolored, but his day one photo just looks more like paleness from stress to me rather than marbling.
If after a few more months the deep blue/purple at the end of his tail continues to change in pattern, that would make it more definitive.
Probably not, hes just doing the normal coloring out that bettas do when you give them a good environment, hes just finally getting to show what colors he really is.
