Bought this calico lure since i live in socal. Do i have to tie a certain loop knot or something or do i just use a regular palomar. Also how do i retrieve it?

Same knot you normally do, I’d straight retrieve it w/ some twitches. You could switch the plastic if you want

Cast out, let it hit the bottom, then slow retrieve.
