Newer to fly fishing, this would be best with a streamer, right? Since it’s such a large and deep pool

  1. Idk if that’s one stretch of water or two? Kinda confusing pics.

The first pic id fish a heavier nymph or use splitshot to get it deep starting in the foam and through that run.

The 2nd looks like Stillwater but is hard to tell. Would strip streamers or throw a small dry with light tippet.

Turnover a rock, see what’s underneath it and tie on something from your fly box that looks similar. Judge the depth of the pool and put an indicator 1 1/2 times that depth.

It’s probably going to be a midge so put on a split shot 8-12” above the bug your drifting. If you have something with a tungsten bead you can leave the split shot off.

Throw it in the cascade and let it drift, flip cast a thousand times. If there’s a fish there you’ll catch it or false hook it eventually.

First pic is probably do a hopper tied down to a nymph. For the second I’d swing a wooly bugger from the riffles, down to the still water
