Leader line snapping… ideas?

I recently switched to braided line and am having a rough time with leaders snapping at the knot.

I’m using suffx pro mix 30lb braid tied to Berkeley vanish 14lb fluorocarbon via a uni-uni (double uni) knot. 6 wraps on each.

Lines are snapping while casting. I threw a rattle trap and a jig to the great beyond today. The jig even had a wild snap sound when it let go.

Were they aggressive casts? Yes
Were they bird nests? No

Thoughts?
