So yesterday turned into a fly fisherman!
Living Near central TX so all we have is crappie and bass unless you fish the Guadeloupe when they stock it!
Bought a cheap set up from bass pro and used a random fly that looked like the bugs around and a squirmy worm because I’m new lol. But it worked out!!
Headed back (home) to the Columbia River Gorge (already planned on hunting elk) and decided I’m bringing my set up.
Any tips of catching trout and or salmon? I know my 5wt rod is too light for big fish but is it possible to catch smaller? What set up to use and which flies?
