First time spooling a reel did I do good

  1. With the reel that full you will might have some issues with some line coming unspooled and making some tangles

  2. You WILL get coils. 15lb is too thick for this size reel and you overspooled it. It also doesn’t look tight enough. Besides, it’s a very uneven line-lay with heavy bias at the bottom which means you should take off the spool and remove at least one of the washers from the shaft beneath the spool to even out the line-lay.

  3. You’re going to have to choose a different line and do it again. Make sure it gets on there tight. Plenty of YouTube videos for reference. Also when you’re done you can take the spool off and soak in HOT water for a few minutes and that will help with line memory.

    Switch to 10lb braid. Also the line is pilling up at the bottom of the spool. Usually fishing reels come with small plastic washers. Those are use to elevate the spool so that the line lays flat. Check out some YouTube videos for a more in depth explanation
