Trying this again since I got no responses earlier today. My daughter’s betta has white on his face and seem to be gasping at times. He’s still eating. I’m concerned some endlers I introduced 10 days ago may have gotten him sick, or could it be something else?

Tank is 10 gallons heated. Usually around 78 degrees but I worked it up to 81 today. Have had the fish one month. Ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 1ppm. I took the endlers out after 5 days because one of them lost part of its tail.

After work I gave him a salt bath. I’m just not sure what to treat him for.

It’s hard for me to see in the video, but white can be ich, fungus or a bacterial infection. I recommend ichx and maracyn or melafix if you’re in Canada. Good luck!

If he’s got white dots on his face he might have it so you might want to get some it medicine for him I just recently got rid of some ick on my fish

Not sure about the white stuff, but 10 gallons is too small a tank for any tankmates other than fish and snails. Stick to those only until you have a bigger setup.
