Aqueon 6 gallon rimless cube. I can move it so the gap is under the clip light. I don't have a betta yet but I'm worried about it potentially jumping out

We have a 7g long with a similar type of gap based on where the lid is set. We were able to move ours to the middle so the gap in the front and back k was less significant. Any chance you could try that?
With that adjustment and heavy floaters plus heater, low flow filter and hide – we really don’t have a space where our long finned guy could manage.
I have this tank and with the filter and stuff no it fine.
