New fly fisher here and absolutely hooked on it. In an effort to get better, I think a fishing log will be helpful. For those more experienced, what am I missing here? What do you log?
And if you have an opinion on what I should have done different yesterday, please share!

I stopped some time ago tracking so much data. I’m just down to location and numbers now. I found tracking my fishing days became too much of a daily hassle.
Not a bad idea. I don’t keep a log but I do try to track water level and flow rates through the year so I have a good idea of what the water looks like and how the fishy spots change over time.
Id say only thing you are missing is fish.

I really like this….good job!
Barometric pressure. That can have an affect on fish.
In salt I’d want to know moon phase because that’ll tell me if the fish were feeding all night. Does that apply to your type of fishing?
i think the last time it was stocked is probably worth noting in NC.
As others have mentioned: pressure and moon phase. In the salt, I like to record times of high and low tide if you get into that. Other than that, my journal is pretty similar. I like this stuff.
