Maybe, but there are about a thousand better options.

That’s a trout lure BUT barred surf perch will hit just about anything when they are on the chew.

I’m sure they would hit it. However that’s pretty lightweight and may get tumbled around by the surf most of the time. I’d stick with Carolina rig and small grub

I always wanted to do in line spinners in the salt. I finally got some bigger spinners for bigger fresh water fish like pike and Muskie and started throwing them. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I think those are made for a slower current or little current. The current at the jetties where I was fishing threw off the action of the lure. Felt like I was dragging a rock through the water. I concluded that it would work but I would want to make adjustments to the blade size. Good luck! I think it will work. Just Need some tweaks.
