Hey folks, I was sad to see my 7 weight streamer stick has a cracking bottom ferrule. It is a bit loose when connected and I suspect it’s been like this for a while without me noticing. There were a few times I was throwing pretty large streamers where the rod came apart at this point, but not frequent enough to warrant the inspection it deserved.
How would you go about repairing this? Fill the cracks with super glue or two part epoxy and keep an eye on it? Should I reach out to redington to see if I could buy a new section? It’s not a rod that comes with a warranty.

Disclaimer – not a rod builder. Hopefully someone with more experience will weigh in. My approach would be sand off the epoxy covering the wraps, re-wrap, and re-epoxy. I’ve repaired tent poles like this.
