He’s been sitting in the corner of his tank at the surface all day. I noticed he has some slight scale lifting near his stomach and I’m really worried that it might be dropsy. I really love him and that’s why I am so upset because I don’t want to lose him.

No doesn’t look like it probably a tumor
I’m sorry buddy🥺. I don’t know, to be clear, but I’d guess tumor on his eye? I’ve seen bettas live normal for quite some time with tumors (mine has a huge one on her tail for months and months). If there’s a way to get his energy level back to normal, maybe he’ll still live? I mostly wanted to say I’m sorry. It’s stressful not knowing. I hope someone has a good answer.
Not dropsy but probably a tumor with some sort of pop eye maybe? His eye on the side with the bump doesn’t look right so it might be pop eye. I’d do more research on it though. But the bump is most likely a tumor. I’ve heard of bettas living just fine with them but make sure to keep an eye on it. Also, scales don’t look like they’re lifting to me ( coming from someone who just lost a betta to dropsy)
