i attached my drawing of my set up. i’m new to lure fishing and fishing for trout
-does this set up seem good?
-do i need a swivel? i dont plan on changing luers much and some people say it adds unnecessary weight – but the majority of people have it in their set up. i would really like some input on this.
– is monofilament good for my leader
-for luers, i plan on asking local fishermen at the bait and tackle shop their recs for the area, but 1/8 oz spinner sounds like what most people use

You don’t need a leader attached to braided line, fluorocarbon line is fine. 6# test is fine.
That’s how I do it, but I use mono and get the snap swivel out of there, no need for it
