Aquariums: Would this handle the weight of 20G tank?
I have had a 10 and 5gallon on it before but still not sure it if would handle the extra weight of 20gallon.

Looks pretty solid from the pic. Nice thick wood but of course you’re the one in person with it. Is it wobbly or seem not very solid when you sit on it? 20 gallon tank filled up weighs 160-200 lbs depending on substrate and decor so if you’d trust a 200 lb person sitting on it, I’d say it’s fine to use

For awhile, but judging by the finish on that piece it’s veneer over particle board, so over time it’s going to get drops of water and the whole thing will start to fall apart. I could be wrong but unless you can pull the drawers out and look at the side panels from the inside and see real wood grain and not pressed wood product I wouldn’t count on it to last more than a year or two.

1000% wouldn’t worry about it at all, clearly has a very solid wood frame.
that was made back when they built shit to last. that fucker’ll hold a 20 gallon, yawn and wonder when you’ll give it a real challenge.

Sit on it… it should feel rock solid.
Check how level it is too.

Yes, it will hold it. However, over time the static weight will bow the top and the drawers will eventually no longer open. Water will splash/spill on it, which will cause damage over time as well.
