I started fishing back in June. I did really well with largemouth and never imagined I’d be landing steelhead — especially not muddy bank-fish like the one before I even owned a net!
But it just goes to show: if you put in the work and stay consistent, you’ll grow. There were times I felt like the worst angler in the world, especially transistioning seasons but I kept trying new things, learning, and adapting.
Keep your head up. Try different techniques. Figure out what you enjoy and what you can fish confidently. That’s the key.
And I always come back to this classic line: “If you build it, they will come.” Put in the time, and the results will follow. 🎣🔥
