Betta Fish: Bro my fish had a near death experience

So I get back from town. I was only gone to town for about an hour. I check on my fish and I can’t find glory. He’s in a 2 gallon long tank so it’s not like there’s anywhere he can hide. I checked under my desk and his still warm body is laying there. I pick him up. I see if he’s still alive. He’s kind of moving, but I assumed it was reflexes. Anyway, I put him in the trash and immediately jolts. So I put him back in his tank and sure as heck he’s still alive. I take him out of the tank with a small amount of water and get the cobwebs off and now he’s swimming around like nothing happened. His pigment definitely deteriorated, but he is swimming around fine. I had taken off the saran wrap for maybe three hours. Maybe. Just a reminder to make sure you have a lid on your tank, I guess. 😭🥲
