so I just bought some bumble bee gobies for my freshwater tank and when I got home I realized, I never asked if they were freshwater or the brackish water species… i’ve done some reading that “most” of the bb gobies in the trade are freshwater but I want to be sure. please help I have no idea the difference between the two.

I did try to call the pet store back but they didn’t pick up. For reference I have 1 16 gallon community freshwater tank, 1 cycled freshwater 5 gallon cube (nothing in it) and a 20 gallon saltwater tank. So I have salt if needed but is there anything I could set up now or do?
Way way wayyyy too late to be asking that. Fastest method to find out is to taste the bag water.
I mean you could just phone your LFS and ask. But where’s the fun in that?
Technically they’re a brackish fish, but they *can* survive in fresh. They just won’t live as long.
A lot of the time they are sold in fresh water but they do need brackish water long term
