I’ve been trying to make this work for the last year, but I was always just frustrated and ended up using a spinning rod. Finally, today, I just brought my two fly rods, and I think I’ve got it finally setup how I want where I can comfortably fish seated or standing and drifting or speared with both rigged rods stowed away and have fun with it.
Even though these two were dinkers, they were special since they are my first from a kayak and also first on my own fly I tied. Also, the flounder broke my 7 wt. somehow. Expensive little fish, but I’d be a lot more upset if I broke it on an unsuccessful trip.
If anyone has setup questions, I’m happy to share what’s worked for me.
