New PB Brown Trout.

I didn’t think I still had a chance at this guy since I believe I tied into him pretty good about an hour before I finally landed him. I was swinging down through a run and felt bumps on three consecutive castsI brought my fly in to inspect it found that the hook was caught on the dumbbell eyes. Well, I fixed that and actually got a few head shakes out of him before he came off.

After I fished the run out, and since I was the only person there, I decided to switch flies to a smaller one and stepped up to the top again, hoping to at least pickup a rainbow or something, and about five casts into it he hit it hard, and this time I hooked him good and managed to land him about seven minutes later. The Proofball measured him at 28.5”, over an inch longer than my previous PB.
