I fish daily and rinse my reels off in the sink and give them a good scrub with a toothbrush and re oil them biweekly but the toothbrush doesn’t fit in some places. Was just deep cleaning my gear for the end of the year storage (it’s time to break out the ice rods) and pulled out all this junk from the worm gear, line roller, slide rail crevices. Make sure you clean your stuff up really well because slime like this will severely affect your reels performance and it wasn’t even very noticeable by eye until I really started getting in there.
