How to fish jumbo minnow plugs?

Got a box of these from my dad. How do folks fish these? Are they fished steady like crankbaits? Jerked near cover? Haven’t had much experience with hardbaits other than smaller crankbaits, looking for some ideas on how to use these. They seem very large, but I am definitely open to throwing some larger plugs for larger bass/walleye/cats/drum/brown trout.

Note – I will toss out the ones with broken bills and replace any old rusty hooks.
