My Diawa Metallica SSS was my favourite rod but I recently made the jump to a G Loomis E6X and not long after picked up their IMX Pro Centerpin for a crazy sale. After handling these rods I’m shocked how much more sensitivity they have while maintaining backbone to fight large salmon. Now the rest of my rods are going to collect dust because these two are just that much better to fish. I’m curious what else compares to Loomis in terms of quality?
