I just spooled this new spinning reel with 25 pound test monofilament but then I realized that the pole says 10 to 20 pound line. Will this work? Is it going to be too large? Should I unspool it and get a new box that’s 20lbs? TIA

I don’t use mono or flourocarbon over 17 pounds except for leader line on big (over 2 ounce) swimbaits. On average 12 to 15 pound test works for most techniques.
