For anyone wondering. It fits fine but with 10 degree offset of so which is common on the old towns. So I decided to make my own offset correction HDPE plate.
Navarre makes correction plates for all but the Malibu model. I actually was on the phone with Nick and he just told me the demand is just not there and he was unsure how easy it would be to fit a motor on it given theres not much space to work with.
Well the Bixpy fits great with the plate. A newport motor should fit fine as well but you might have to have a bit of the plate sticking out. I still have to cut that piece sticking out off mine, I left it in case the rudder would interfere with my motor in the location I wanted it. But it doesnt.
I bought the plate off amazon for $15 it is 3/4in thick. I cut it with a cheap HB grinding cutting wheel that I had in the garage. If you have better tools you could get it to look cleaner.
It took me like 20 mins to cut the plate and drill the holes super easy.
Not sure why this kayak isnt more popular tbh. You can have a motorized PDL for less than 4k total newport or bixpy motor and still have the pedal drive on.
