

So i got this plant a month ago and the seller said it was amazon sword and i bought it and put it in a substrate for more than a month atp.I saw some tiktoks of amazon sword and noticed it was clearly different from the one i had and now i think its a anubias but i heard anubias die when burried into substrate but it still hasnt died and is instead thriving… HELP MEEE

Yes, that’s an anubias. Get the rhizome above the substrate, the roots can be below (but they don’t need to be).
Anubias needs to be out of the substrate. It is not thriving – your rhizome looks like it’s melting and it hardly has any roots.
Glue it to some rocks or driftwood
You can either glue it or tie it to something. I just tie mine to a 2″ rock with string.
Pull the plant up you’re killing it.

Yes, and anunias are a kind of plant that arent supposed to be planted, ironically, you cant burrow them, just let the roots be in the water or theyll die, thats how these plants work
If your criteria for “thriving” is that a plant hasn’t died, you have a ways to go.
