I got my “rose petal” betta a month ago- I was really wanting a pink fish! In the last month, his colors have darkened significantly with a lot of navy blue/blacks around his face and fins. Is this all normal color changes? or something I should be concerned about?

9 gallon tank, heated to 78°, I’ve been testing ammonia and nitrite with API test kits and they fall within normal ranges, the tank has been established for a year with a handful of neocaridina shrimp but betta was introduced a month ago, tomorrow. feeding a mix of tropical fish flakes and bug bites betta formula, occasional dried baby shrimp as a treat- fed every other day or every 2 days. I have all live plants and lots of moss, collected driftwoods and quartz crystals
Normal. They change their colours to darker and brighter ones in better conditions
