TL;DR What would you add to my tackle?
Just recently got into fishing in October in order to remain occupied & alcohol free. Absolutely love it, it’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time & I love being outside.
Started out with a few grubs & a spinner. I primarily fish for bass but am generally happy to catch just about anything. I slowly started building my tackle & gear over the month to include some essentials like a chatter bait & some crank baits.
My fiance recently got me a KastKing Bait Space as a gift & I was super excited to migrate my lures & baits over. What I’m realizing, however, is I may be missing some crucial gear, lures, & baits.
I’m not used to having this much space so I’m looking to fill it enough to be as adaptable as possible on the bank.
What are some essentials you guys don’t leave home without?
Other than a whopper flopper & some gloves, what would you add? I go through senkos like my grandpa goes through underwear so those on the Academy list.
Here’s the link to the bag if you want to check it out

Fish.
A senko on a wacky rig and/or a roboworm on a drop shot rig are staples in my bag. That and a trick worm rigged up Texas rig style.
Long pliers. For when they swallow it.
Lip grippers for the unexpected toothy fish.
Get a scale
i like how youre storing your soft plastics. do u have a link for that?
Chatter bait and some underspin jig and 4 inch swim baits.
A hat and a beer, (or whatever beverage you prefer while fishing).
Love that backpack. I have the exact same one for my bank fishing
My advice is to not try to fill that backpack. The more you add the heavier it’ll get and the more tiring it’ll be going to your fishing spot. As shore fishermen, we need to move around a lot and carry all our gear with us. Keep it light, and fishing trips will be a lot more enjoyable.
Challenge yourself – go fishing with just one box of lures and worms.
