added some substrate , some wood and going to be getting plants soon

waters still murky from substrate but oh well

    That drift wood is going to take months to sink. You’d be better off weighing it down and then just doing a lot of water changes to remove tannins over the next few months.

  2. I’m currently waiting on my new 55 to cycle and the wood inside to get waterlogged enough to stay down.

    I put my driftwood in before I filled it, stacked a bunch of spare patio blocks I had on it, and then filled it up. The blocks hold it down great. I didn’t need to tie this down or anything, but I imagine zip ties would have worked if I needed to.
