He was quirky, interested in everything that went into his tank. He would get excited when you baby talked him. We love him, and even made stickers of him as wedding favors for our upcoming wedding.
So my boy passed away this evening. He had a pink area around his side of body when my fiancé found him. He was swimming around fine this morning being his usual self, messing with our snail. I had tested the water before feeding and the tests looked good. So I thought nothing of it, but now I’m at a loss at what I could’ve done to prevent this. It was so sudden. My fiancé got home and she saw that he was still swimming around. She left to the store for an errand and when she came back, he was gone.
Sorry for the rant, but I’m heart broken over my first betta passing like this

BTW: this photo was taken while he was recovering from tearing his fins through a decoration we had. He was up to this point, on his way to a full fin recovery.
