Just set up this 10 gallon tank for a betta and it’s been cycling for 2 days. I conditioned the water and all the measurements are in the right parameters, but the water is brown and keeps getting worse. Any idea as to what’s causing this I’m thinking it might be the wood but I’m new to the hobby and any help would be appreciated!

Driftwood teleases tannins, from what Ive read its suggested that you either boil it for 30-40 minutes or soak it for several days to release some of the tannins that turn the water so dark
