Hello! I'm less than 3 months into the hobby but I believe my Thai Micro Crabs have managed to breed (See the little white dots in the pictures, sorry for the poor quality it was hard to get focus on such tiny things).

Reading online and asking a couple of different AIs apparently this is quite uncommon and hard to do but I don't know what to believe considering I have literally zero experience with this so I would love for any input. Supposedly the hardest part is getting them to survive the larval stage but these aren't larvae, they look like half a millimeter big white dots with almost invisibly small legs (only managed to spot them with a magnifying glass) that are walking along the pieces of wood and leaves where the original 5 adults have been hanging around the last couple of weeks. So it definitely seems to me like they are tiny crabs. Like I said I would love for any input or information from someone in the know!

I have a 57 litre fresh water tank that currently houses 14 cherry shrimp, 4 snails, 1 fan shrimp and then 5 micro crabs and what now seems like a hundred tiny juveniles.

  1. Can you try getting a picture through the magnifying glass? It’s really hard to tell from the current photos
