Any ideas what non-salmon related fishing this rod would be good for?
Popular online retailer recently gifted me this 9'6" salmon rod. I live in the southeast. I know absolutely nothing about salmon fishing techniques so don't even know what it's designed for.

Light shore fishing in Hawaii. Most of my saltwater rods are actually salmon rods because of their length.
